Hi, I've read many posts on how to quiet down the fan by plugging the connectors into +12 and +5V. This seems easy to do with case fans, due to molex connectors. But I want to do the same to the fan inside the power supply. I haven't ever opened a psu, so I don't know how the fans are powered, I doubt that there's a molex connector inside. Can someone tell me if it's possible to do the "7V trick" on the fan INSIDE the power supply?

Well you can cut some 5V and 12V wires that are inside the PSU... but the fans themselve are connected to a 2 pin socket or soldered against the PCB.

I love my Delta 60HP 7000 RPM fan that puts out more dB then CFM

i wouldnt do that. the 7 volt trick is only good on fans that spin fast to begin with. if you do it on a slow fan it will be useless or not spin at all. not to mention the fan speed may be necisary for the ammount of heat the psu puts out, you could over heat the thing by slowing the fan down.
