Error screen resolution is not supported

i have an acer aspire one. with windows 7 i have downloaded a game and it comes up with an error saying screen resolution is not supported. what does this mean please.

You are most likely trying to play the game at a higher resolution than the monitor supports. Go into the game options and try lowering the resolution and see if it makes a difference.

Video chipsets for laptops aren't that great.

Is the game supported under Windows 7?

Also, list the game. Did you purchase the game or is it pirated? If it's pirated, we can't help and that would most likely be your problem anyhow.
