From Audio CD to MP3?

I know this has been talked a lot over the internet, but I'm still
puzzled over how it works, and most importantly, what works.

I downloaded dppower Amp http://www.dbpoweramp.com/. And tried to
convert my audio CD files to MP3. I did, and was successful. However,
when I tried to hotsync the files into my Palm, it failed to so,
stating conduit error.

How can I rectify this?

Thanks!

Hi Karen,

You need to send the mp3s to the SD card. Put them in a directory named 'Audio'.

You will have to sync them to the card, not the handheld. You can't put
mp3 files in RAM because they aren't Palm files. Be prepared for a long,
long sync. Using hotsync to send files to the card can take hours.

You might try getting PFB, a program that allows you to transfer files
between the Palm, SD card, and PC at will at USB speed. It's freeware, and
although the web page is in German, you can just click on the Download link
below PFB and get it, and it has an English version included. Probably the
best option is a card reader, available for less than $20. If you have a
printer with card slots, you already have a card reader, albeit a slow one.

Use RealPlayer 1.5 for the Palm and RealPlayer 10 for the PC. Transferring
files is quick and painless.
