Would anyone please compare system/gaming performance between a 2.16Ghz T7400 with 4MB L2 cache and a 2.16Ghz T2600 with 2MB L2 cache?

Between these two CPUs, aside from the L2 cache, are there any other differences?

Also, would anyone please compare system/gaming performance between a system with 1GB PC5300 (2 chips) versus a system with 2GB PC5300 (2 chips)?

Thanks!

Keep in mind that if I remember right, the comparo between the T7600 and T2600 was done before there was an optimized bios. The article also has other links for you to look at the differences..

The basics are the Core2duo is about 20% faster and uses 8% less power than the older architecture...

As for the ram.. it's kinda up to what games you're gonna play. I know Battlefield 2 & 2142 run a lot smoother with 2gigs. With 1 gig, I (and a lot of other people) had massive lag for the first couple minutes in game. Loading times were also sped up.
