Hi all

Does dual ddr just take advantage when used at pc 3300 and fsb 800? If that true, why do some mainboards support dual ddr pc 2700 at fsb 533 ?

thanks

What processor are you planning to use? P4 with 800FSB will take full advantage of PC 3200. With a Athlon you wont need so much bandwith. So it basically depends on what platform/processor you use.

true the athlon does not need the bandwith...but the lower memory bus latency added by having a second controllor does help the AXP's perform a bit better...

If i put my k6 in a Ferrari it would be faster than your your pentium 4 or Athlon XP

Dual PC2100 would offer perfect bandwidth for the 533 bus P4. Dual PC2700 might offer lower latency for improved performance, but since the memory controller would be interpreting the non-sychronous bus, you might not see the improvement you're expecting.
