I buy from Jerry Bruck at Posthorn Recording in NY. He was the long
time importer of Schoeps and is quite knowledgeable about the line.
NIce guy as well.
There doesn't seem to be any price competition or discounting on this
brand in the US

I'm so nosey I had to try work this out.
Your domain takes me to a website with contact details area code 727.
A look up on the 'net brought me to this...
"Florida Tampa Metro: Saint Petersburg, Clearwater (Pinellas and parts of
Pasco County; split from 813"
..
..
That's my guess. Marks out of ten please?! (Bonus points available for being in Scotland?)

Your header indicates you're posting from 12.77.173.183. Reverse
DNS on that is 183.knoxville-06rh15rt.tn.dial-access.att.net.
So I can make a pretty good guess what kind of service you have and
where you're calling in. There is all kinds of useful stuff in the
message headers.

But I'm in Little Rock?
Just glad it wasn't some voodoo mind control thing; been
getting too much of that lately and folks laugh at my
tinfoil hat.

Right, that's why it's not always perfect. A lot of places don't have a
local POP and have circuits forwarded to a more-or-less nearby POP. So
you can't really be 100% sure without access to the ISP's records.
Back when folks mostly used shell accounts, it was a lot easier to tell
where people were. But then the net was a lot smaller then too.

Yeah, sure, right. But knowing you by reputation only
I'm still keeping the hat. Folks laugh, but I'll have
the last (if they don't come back too soon).
And my folks were from Tampa... Is this some kind of
coded message? Obviously, I need a better hat.
ps: you'll likely enjoy the Rocky and Bullwinkle movie,
