I have a aspire 3000 that i have had a little over a year.....it has been used very little.
Tonight i burned a dvd to backup some mp3's.....then since i haven't used it in a while...i decided to go to windows update.
It was in the process of downloading and verifying the 2nd of 5 updates and the notebook froze up.
I could not move the cursor on screen and it was just froze up on the windows update page.

So all i could do was press the power button in for a hard reboot.
When it rebooted i had no screen.....nothing no post or bios screen just a blank screen like there was no power to it....the notebook had power because the lights were on and i could here the drives running.

I tried removing and replacing the battery running on ac power.....i also tried hooking it up to external monitor still no screen.

If anybody can give me some suggestions it would be appreciated
