I just got a Lite-On and it has not worked right so I am bringing it back. I have come to the conclusion that it would be best if I spent a little more money and got something quality. what would you recomend. just a simple RW drive.

Well if Lite-On didn't work for you, you could try out Samsung. Mine's a combo CDRW+DVD drive (SM-348B), & sure it might be a tad dated, but it works extremely well for me :). No problems yet in the 8 weeks I've been using it.

You should ask for a replacement because my Lite-On is awesome and is quality. Lite-on is pretty much Sony with a different label and Sony make some of the most if not all of the best CD/DVD burners/ROMs you can buy.

I have a TDK and have never had a problem and never turned a disk into a coaster. I have had it for about 3 years and never had a problem.
