OCZ PC3500 EL doesnt boot on an IS7?

The board works fine with Kingston HyperX PC3000 but I cant even get to the POST screen with this OCZ memory. I have tested the OCZ in a Shuttle SS51G XPC and it boots fine there. Any ideas?

Not compatable...

Do you have pat enabled? If so dissable it and try...

If i put my k6 in a Ferrari it would be faster than your your pentium 4 or Athlon XP :tongue:

Impossible - Anandtech did that memory comparison and they stuck some OCZ into an IS7 and it worked.... I cleared the CMOS so everything would be at default... whatever OCZ is replacing it so its okay =)

The article used PC3200 not PC3500 and the timings used were 2-3-2-5. Possible reason?
ABIT IS7 (865PE) BIOS 13 beta 3. Possible Bios upgrade required?

Well this problem occured on with BIOS 15 final. So I dont think thats the problem. Also I cant change my timings cuz it does not even get to the POST screen - it just stays black.

But like I said - OCZ is replacing it so we'll see how that works out for me. Their support it really kickass though - multiple email replys in a SINGLE day. Not like ABIT with an incredibly weak reply like 5 days later...

How did the new OCZ work?I have an IS7with OCZ PC3500 EL x2 with a P4 3.0 800fsb and no trouble so far (month)and running smooth. Good luck!
