Just think if this catches on...
sub-motherbords, not precicely daughterboards or SBCs, with just CPU, memory, controlers, and network. These could be small enough to fit 20-40 boards of P4s or Opterons. It would only need one moterboard with the backplane per 10 subboards then drives, expansion slots, usb/1394, and whatnot. All that is needed is a standard. with current computer prices as a guide, you could have them for $50-200 per board.
