Hi guys Im looking for a laptop to basically be my hub where I can watch online tv,dvds, football streams, sky tv,dailymotion etc on my 42" LG HDTV So I gather I need a laptop with Tv out, decent wireless network card a decent amount of ram and decent processor, graphics accelerator etc.

I would buy a pc for this but a laptop seems more ideal as I spend a fair amount of time traveling and I allready have a decent gaming pc so having a laptop would be nice so can anyone recommend me a good one or point me in the right direction thanks.

I have only £500/$750 to play with so it might be hard the main problem I have been told is laptops in this price range dont normally have tv out and a graphics chip powerful enough to display windows on a 42" display will this be a problem thanks.

PS I allready have a good but cheap usb tv tuner card that picks up alot of my fav channels so I dont need one of those.

Unfortunately your budget is severely affecting the laptops you can choose from.

1. Vista is coming out and they recommend 1 gig of ram which is hard to find at your price range.
(will run with 512 just not smoothly)
2. Both of those laptops are running slow and out of date processors which could affect you performance wise depending on the types of apps you run.
3. Those laptops both use integrated graphics which will not be able to support the high resolution of your HDTV.

My only suggestions would be to try and buy refurbished systems from Dell. (usually still in good condition for around half of the original price) or, if possible, wait and save up more money so that you can get a more powerful notebook that will handle what you want.
In other words, I don't believe that those laptops are adequate for what you want to do. Even if they are now, they won't be in 6 months or so. (Full Vista release and DX10 games)
