I'd always go for a good quality PSU... There are some good cheapish PSU's out there but never scrimp on your PSU. Not only is is a key part of stabilty in your system save the motherboard in a distent second, it's the only component which can write off every other component in your system if it goes wrong.

I bought an Antec Truepower 430 and it it the best move I have made. My system is more reliable and the noise levels have dropped greatly. I use to go for cheap PSU's now I am an Antec man.

You get what you pay for. Cheap is bad, especially with PSU's... and the rated wattage means Jack.

Cheapass PSU's also fail at a much higher rate.

Go for a good brand name one (antex or enermax by prefrence) and you will only need a 350W or 400W unit.
