Hello,
I couldnt get my laptop to boot to safe mode so I changed the config file to always boot in safe mode with network, and guess what, it still wont boot completely I get to the password screen and type it in and it acts like its doing something then something flashes on the screen and its is so fast I cant read it and then it says shutting down. what do I do now

Looks like a re-installation of windows.This means losing everything.Have you a recovery partition ?

Have you tried the repair function from running the DVD?

Can you boot to a command line? If so, try typing sfc /scannow and see if that helps.

You might be able to repair the OS by using a Windows 7 installation disc. Any Windows 7 DVD should work. Use the version that matches your OS. Example - Windows 7 Home Premium 32 Bit.
