I'm thinking about getting a new mainboard, Asus A7N8X, I have a AMD Athlon XP 1700+ processor, and I want to know what RAM would the best choice for me, preferably cheap as well.

Should I go for 2x256MB, or 1x512MB? And what speed should I get, I want the most power out of it, since I'm mostly a gamer. Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance. (Gotta love this page btw :)

to take advantage of dual channel you will need 2 memory dimms...the size of each is your choice...

If i put my k6 in a Ferrari it would be faster than your your pentium 4 or Athlon XP :tongue:
