Hi all - I am having a serious problem over here. Every time I do just about anything with my computer, a window pops up flipping me some [-peep-] about remote procedure call, and gives me a 60-second countdown before shutting down my computer. Now, I know how to disable the shutdown, but instead of shutting down when rpc fails, my computer just doesn't respond to anything I do. I can surf the net, and that's it. I can't install or uninstall anything, I can't even move icons around on the desktop. In the last 48 hours, I've formatted and installed Windows 4 times, to no avail. I don't know what to do, please help. Here are my specs:
Abit KX7-333R mobo
Athlon XP 1900+
IBM Deskstar 60GB HDD @ 7200 RPM (x2, NOT in RAID)
512 MB 333mhz Samsung DDR RAM
ATI Radeon 9000Pro 128MB
Audigy Gamer
ASUS 31x12x40x cd burner
I appreciate any help you may be able to give me, thanks.
