hi,
i am back again to ask the experts!!
the gateways are all nonexpandable when it comes to adding more ram. this laptop i am looking at has 2 gig in it now. i know someday i would want to add more to it, possible a 2 gig stick?
in its specs, it lists a PCMCIA slot available. "1 a type I / II; cardbus"
from my research this could possibly be used to put more memory in.
so, that is my question, can i add more memory to this laptop via the PCMCIA slot???? any con?

in case you want to know the laptop, its gateway mp8707 that best buy has on their site.
i will be updated to vista, also. tho i am not liking it now.

by the way, why is gateway nonexpandable? toshiba and hp are.
thanks guys!!
Suzy
