Noise reduction

I have a liteon 52X CD-RW. Its very good and very quick.

My only complaint is that it makes lots of noise. Is there anyway to reduce it?

Is it a normal humm of the drive motor and basically stays constant, or does it change and sometimes is worse than others, the latter can sometimes be caused by the CDs you're using, inspect your disks if thats the case for manufacturing burrs on the edges of the center hole, which would keep the disk from properly seating on the spindle, producing vibration at low and high RPMs.

it also depends on the CD medium you use.
