ms-dos mem probs in ME

Hi. Currently, under ME, when I run any dos programs, after a few minutes of usage, it says I'm short of memory and cannot do things such as saving and when I try other features, it locks up (and I have to restart the prog). On my other comp, which was previously 98se then upgraded to ME, the memory problems do not occur. Im wondering if anyone knows what the problem might be, or if I have to get pure dos or something...

There's a Winme dos hack out somewhere. I have it saved back on cd, so I don't know of a link. Try a Google search for Dos Hack, and see what it gives back.

i would ditch ME and either stick with 98 or up to 2000 or xp
