Hey guys,

Last night, I used my Audigy 2 Platinum eX to record a few songs that my friend and I wrote. However, whenever I make a recording using the Creative Play Center recorder st 24-bit/96kHz, I cannot play the file in any other sound application, such as Sound Forge. However, if I knock the quality down to 16-bit/96kHz, I have no playback problems. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Also, I do not have to use the Creative application to make recordings. I would prefer to do everything through Sound Forge, but I couldn't figure out how to do a sync-ed recording. My friend and I have to play/sing multiple parts, so we need to be able to time each recording with another track playing. Can this be done in Sound Forge?

Lastly, what program would you guys recommend I use to combine multiple tracks on a timeline. I have been using Vegas Video even though it is a video editing program because it can handle uncompressed wav's, but I am sure there is a similar program made just for audio. Thanks!
