Im looking at a Toshiba Qosmio G30-103

What I like about it is that it has 1920x1200

The GFX is a bit bad...7600 256mb but rest looks fine.

I can only find it on Swedish sites so I guess its only for sale in the EU.

But its close to the rest G30 series.

Can't fins any specs in English, but I guess you can try to look at the swedish spec list :P

This is the America version G35

It looks pretty good. The 7600 is a decent card. Won't play at highest res' but it will get the job done. I think it's overpriced, but it's not my money. let me know if this helps.

ah, cool, thank you.

I guess what makes it more expensive then most Laptops in its class is the 1920x1680.

The HP pavilion has almost the same specs but is less expensive.

Its very importent for me that the laptop has high resolution.

Is a 7600 Go 256 really bad? What kind of games would it run? I don't really play a lot, but its nice to be able to play some of the new games from time to time :p

The 7600 can run almost all of today's games at decent settings except Oblivion. It can still play that game just at lower settings. If you play games like WOW, you should have no problems. Oh btw, most 17'' laptops with a few exceptions have the option for the 1920x1200 res. Its a standard WUXGA screen. Dell actually offers a better laptop (E1705/9400 with 1920X1200 res) in terms of performance for less money. It's all matter of opinion though, since most people don't like Dell. Toshiba is a fairly good company so getting one of their laptops is a fairly safe bet.
