opinion Asus M6Va Centrino 1.73Ghz 60G 512MB ATI X700 128MB

I wanted to get a couple of opinions of the Asus M6Va Centrino 1.73Ghz 60G 512MB ATI X700 128MB

What do you think of it? What are the pros/cons? Is Asus a good make for laptops? I haven’t really found any insightful reviews. Is there a place where I can check?

How loud is it? I am in a classroom setting. I hear it has some issue with the fans always running?

Or if someone could recommend a different laptop for about the same price with similar specs. I would like to do a little bit of gaming, nothing intense.

the price seems good for about 1000 CDN. Do you know anything about this laptop? I don't want to spend too much more than 1050 before taxes. Maybe you can recommend one. how about this one by Sony:
