Hi..
I have a couple of sticks of 72pin memory, how do i know what kind it is? Or is there only 1 type of 72pin memory? Would it tell me if i installed it on a motherboard and booted it up?

Thanks

A lot of boards will report the memory type on the system configuration page, which follows POST. Others won't.

There are several types of 72-pin memory, the most common being Parity, Non-Parity, and EDO. Most Non-Parity is Fast Page Mode. EDO is faster.

There are also several speeds, the most common being 70ns and 60ns. 60ns is recommended for most Pentium CPU's.
