I will be going with the HP Pavilon DV9210.

Windows Vista Home Premium OEM
Thanks again to all that helped make my decision easier! Here's another.....I own Windows XP Pro full version w/SP2. Should I even bother with the OEM version of Vista or should I format, install XP Pro, wait a couple months and then go to Vista?
No harm can really come from waiting. I think it would be a safe bet to wait a while and then upgrade to Vista. Cuz we all remember what XP was like when it was first released .
If Vista has all your drivers and you're serious about transitioning, I'd do it now and get it over with..
This is coming from a guy who at this very moment is going through a format and complete reinstall of XP Pro on my desktop. It's a huge pain backing up everything and reinstalling everything. I'd hate to do it in a few short months again... (and I'm not moving over to Vista anytime soon... let other's find it's bugs first)
Another thing to consider is that Vista will probably slow down your system. I'm too lazy to post a link, but THG did an article about Vista performance in 3D apps and found that performance decreased by a very significant amount when compared to XP. It may have more features, but you will pay for them.
