sooooo tuesday i get roadrunner and now i can play games online. only problem is, i have no idea where or how. can some of you vets give me some pointers? you know... where to connect, ummm....performance tips....etc, you get the picture. i like wolfenstein, half-life, no one lives forever, quake2 ... i know nothing, so anything you tell me will be benificial. thanks...

ok, i guess im not being clear. i mean, the sites like battle.net.... can you play anything you want there? are some sites better than others? is there anything i should look out for? what about ping rates? how do i know what a good one is, and who do i ping?

99% of your games will connect automatically. There is a multiplayer option at the start up screen. Click it, then internet game (generic procedure here, may not apply to every game). Then pick a game to join. Simple.

Another easy way is to use gamespy. <A HREF="http://www.gamespy.com" target="_new">http://www.gamespy.com</A> I believe...

ok.... i'll check out gamespy... i think thats what ive been trying to ask. hey, hows the guitar playin going....you had the joe perry rep, right? me and my buddies just started a band a couple months ago and some guy heard us and now is doing our cd for us for nothing.... sweet.

Damn, how'd you remember about the Joe Perry?

Actually, I traded it in for a heritage cherry sunburst Les Paul by Epiphone, and then got a set of Gibson pickups for it. It sounds awesome now. I'm still pluggin away. I don't play with anyone though.
