Upgrading from On-board audio to Audigy2

Does this upgrade worth it, especially for 6.1 config.
I wonder how much work would be reduced from the cpu if upgrade.

  1. cpu usage may not be reduced significantly or at all, depending on what audio chip your motherboard uses.

even then, you may want to ask yourself if it worth it for the 80 usd (or more) you are going to have to spend on an audigy 2 oem. if you have the nforce2 apu, the answer is probably not.
  2. no i just have a SiS645 audio.
