Hello Everyone! Ok so here I am wondering which is better for my Asus P4P800 deluxe with P4 2.8c, Kingston HyperX KHX3200K2/512 512MB Kit DDR400 PC3200 or the Corsair TWINX512-3200C2PT 512MB DDR400 XMS3200 Dual-Channel Memory w/Platinum Heat Spreader? Since I'm running short on money right now, I am not able to buy the 1 gig kits. In the future, is it possible to buy another 512 mb kit (Corsair or Kingston depending on what you tell me) to reach the 1 gig mark with my computer running STABLE? Will my computer be able to run with all 4 ram slots filled up? Please answer and thankyou.

Corsair has problems with ASUS boards so stay away from it. As far as I know Kinston should be fine. Don't leave out Geil in your decision. The Golden Dragon PC4000 is working very well for me. As far as 4 dims. No one really knows yet. The intel white papers say performance should improve with 4 dims. But (depending on the memory) the performance decreases or doesn't work at all with 4 dims alot of the time. OCZ is offereing quad matched 1 gig sets. But the price is rediculious. I would like to see people here post thier experiences with 4 dims on 875/865 chipsets. I am thinking about ordering another 2X256 of the Geil PC4000. Wish me luck.

Thankyou very much for your help. Since you mentioned GEIL, i'm thinking about getting the Golden Dragon PC3500 2x256 Dual Channel memory. I was on Newegg and saw that the normal PC4000 2x256 Dual Channel cost $150 while the Golden dragon PC4000 2x256 cost $189. Is there any difference in those 2? I'm on a very tight budget so the price is very important to me. And are you sure that the GEIL ram will work on my Asus P4P800 deluxe? Now its GEIL or the Kingston HyperX memory. Which one will perform faster?

I looked at the specs on newegg. I can't tell any difference. They are probobly the same except the golden dragons are very fancy looking with an LED light and come in a fancy case. The non dragon will probobly work just as well.

the golden dragons use special memory modules which have diffrent way of mounting the chips onto the pcb, diffrent size and heat characteristics (hence no heatsink)...they are geils top of the line and that is why they look snazzy...

The standard geil memory uses standard modules...

the modules used on geils golden dragons are much like the "tiny BGA" formfactor that kingmax uses...
