is it me, or are the mics made by both of these companies the same?
they look a lil different on the outside, but what about on the inside?
i heard about this other company, t.bone from www.thomann.de in europe
and they look the same too.. inparticular the ribbon mics look the same
and some of the tube mics. are they all coming from the same factory
and rebadged? how are these mics in general? mostly the tube and ribbon
mics.

The vast majority of large diaphragm mikes sold today come from either
a factory in Beijing or a cluster of factories in Shanghai using similar
designs.
I don't know who is making the ribbon mike from NADY, but it also is made
in a Chinese shop which has recently started selling to other importers
as well. A careful look inside will show that it's an attempt to copy
the AEA R84 by someone who didn't really understand how the R84 works.
