PAudio coaxial speakers in 8, 10, 12, 15, and 18 inches. The best
sounding coaxial speakers ever made....and the best built. The 12 inch
weighs 31 lbs, has a four inch voicecoil, and the woofer handles 500
watts RMS. The compression horn has a two inch diaphram (like a JBL
375) and handles 100 watts RMS. Cast frame, over 103 db efficient.
They take the best features of an Altec (deep cone and accordian
surround) and a Tannoy (the horn uses the woofer cone as the lens).
Prices range from $250 to $725/pr.

Agreed, but that's only a small part of it.
Why would I want to use these speakers instead of the very fine coaxial
types currently available from Radian and B&C?
It might be because the Fs on the bass side is lower... Radian discontinued
the foam-surround low-Fs versions of their drivers a couple years ago and
it has been a real disappointment.
It might be because the horn response is more even with position... the
Radian and B&C horns definitely have a more ragged response as you get
off-axis, compared with the 12" and 15" Tannoy coaxials.
Are either of these going to be the case? Are you going to be showing
some off at the AES show so people can get a sense of the directional
response? What makes you think posting ads to a discussion group is a
good thing, also?

Uhhh, the JBL 375 had a 4" diaphragm and a 2" throat.
