Can anyone help me, i have recentley installed a new modem on my system. now the modem went on fine using xp's drivers. it will dial up and connect. but when i try to open internet explorer, it just pop's up and then closes back down. i have tried using both xp's and the modem's drivers. but unfortunatley still does the same thing.

  2. yeah it still does it then!!! this is really doing my head in. i just don't want to format my drive to solove it.

    expect the unexpected.
  3. have you installed the latest version of IE?, and have the latest updates?, if so try uninstalling IE then reinstalling.

    I need a 1.5 Ghz Athlon + 512mb ddr ram to write emails......honestly
