I currently have a Dell B130 with 2gigs memory 5400rpm harddrive and a Pentium M 740. Q is, is it worth it since my warranty already expired? Yes I have taken apart the laptop but never actually taken anything out.

Check your specifications for Front Side Bus (FSB) and take a look at this link (click)
It does not make much sense to run a faster CPU (533 MHz FSB) on a lower FSB of 400 MHz, provided your B130's specification.
I think getting a faster hard drive (7200 rpm) would be a better investment than a faster CPU.
great info. I guess I should go for the 7200rpm hard drive. From Intels Processor Identity it shows 533mhz with 2mb cache. adn Intels Chipset shows Chipset:
Mobile Intel(R) 82915GM/GMS/910GML Express Chipset family
But the funny thing is it doesnt actually show which one it is... Is it possibly to have all of them hahaha.
