Touch Pad Mouse (PS/2) freezes in SONY VAIO WINDOWS 7 Home Premium Laptop after

Hello,
My SONY VAIO Laptop's touch pad (PS/2) mouse freezes few seconds after startup. It has Windows 7 Home Premium OS. When I start machine in SAFE MODE, mouse works properly. Even if, I use external mouse through USB port it works properly.
I am unable to understand what is the problem and how to solve it? Please help.
