Is there any external USB/Firewire system that incorporates a removable HDD from it's own system... So you could have lets say 3 250GB HDD's but only one system to use it. (For backup purposes).

Would love such a thing.
Thanks

Is there something the with the same functionality as this but with higher transfer rates. And what about this thing running with Norton Ghost 2003, shouldn't be a problem at all right.

With regard to ghost: Never tried this stuff (but been thinking of purchasing). The vendors of hard disks also have external hard drives which u can't unpackage without losing warranty and are more expensive.

There is a max bandwith to components like USB2 and Firewire.

How about an External SCSI drive? ... but then that is not USB or Firewire.

How about IDE disks on removeable trays?

Fibre channel will fit the bill....what kind of transfer rates you looking for? Can you be more specific?

It's not what they tell you, its what they don't tell you!
