Toshiba P100
Intel Core Duo 1.73 Ghz
2 Gigs of Ram
nVidia Go 7600 GS (512mb)
Vista Business

Problem: My problem lies with World of Warcrack. I like playing it while at the girlfriend's house when theres nothing better to do but its almost too frustrating to play. Starts up and runs fine for awhile, after a couple minutes my FPS goes from ~50 to 20 or less and gets very choppy. Once it starts it almost doesnt go away, it will get back to 50 ever so often and jump right back down. Almost everytime it DOES go back up I notice theres a fan that kicks on in the laptop, but doen't happen every time.

Things I have done: Turned off all the "Pretty" Vista options, turned off UAC, turned Power Savings to Performance, turned off anything that would lessen the load. Ingame settings I turned off everything as well.

I don't think it has to do with the Vid Card because last night I watched the Task Manager>Performance and it looks VERY choppy when it happens. Memory usage is about 1.2 Gigs. I know the processor can handle it to because I just got out of a much crappier laptop into this one and it ran it smooth just on the very basic settings.

I know this sounds a little vague but anyone have any suggestions or hopefully a solution?

Check if VSYNC is enabled. Either in WOW options of the cards options.
