I have an older laptop which uses USB 1.1. If I want to use a device which requires a '2.0', I have to stick in a PMCIA card for that purpose. Which means I have to remove the laptop from my wireless network (ie remove my wireless card).

I'm probably dreaming, but does anyone make a 'PMCIA Expansion card' so that I can do both the USB 2.0 and the wireless network ??
