Acer aspire netbook problem please help!!!!!

Hello,
ast night i was about to write an email and while i was typing my keys stopped working and my netbook started making weird noses so i turned it off manually then i waited 30 sec to turn it on then when i turned it on it loaded then came to a screen that says insert boot disk ... im not sure how to fix it but i would really like help so please if you have an y answers email at (email removed by moderator)

Probably a hard drive problem. If it's looking for bootable media, it probably can't see the hard drive anymore. This is a big indication that the drive has completely seized up. If the drive it no longer spinning up, seek a replacement.

What kind of weird noises? It definately sounds like a defective hard drive as Prophecy stated... those noises could have been a symptom depending on what they were.
