Open office spreedsheet to m-office

in open office you can save the file as a MS Office document so it can be opened by your coworkers.

yeah i try to save the spreadsheet as 2003 XML but it requires java runtime environment which i downloaded but it did not work. If i am missing something with java and need a certain version. plz post link
