Has anyone ever removed their PSU and done the necessary rewiring to make a collection of sockets on the outside of the case where the PSU (with extended leads etc.) can be plugged into?

I just know that my computer could be cooled much more effectively (and QUIETLY) without that massive hunk of metal (by far the biggest component) sitting inside it.

yeah its been done.. heh, not too hard either, just a matter of adding length to you current psu's wires and putting it in its own enclosure (though you can leave it as is, probably want something a lil different lookin).
