My computer restarts itself under certain circumstances: after memory count, after IDE check, or right before Windows splash screen. It usually boots to Windows after 2 or 3 restarts. It only restarts itself if it has been off for a long time. If I turn off the computer and turn it back on, it will boot with no problems. Does anybody know what might cause this?

My system, for reference:
Windows XP
Epox 8K7A (AMD-761)
512MB PC2700 RAM
GeForce2 MX
4 IDE devices

Suggestions:
1) run memtest86, possible memory problem
2) check that ur heatsink is properly placed
3) If you have lots of devices hooked up try unhooking one or two. (power supply) did you add any devices lately?
4) No lost screws or anything under the mobo???
5) No lose connectors? Wires? Power connectors?
6) Keyboard and mouse plugged in firmly?
7) Video card seated properly (u can try a reseat of all your cards).
8) Power supply?
