I just finished transferring all my components from my old motherboard to my new one. After an hour, i have it up and running. I have only came across 2 technical difficulties. My new motherboard is the ASUS p8z68-v/gen 3 and the problem is that my pc is telling me i do not have a genuine copy of windows 7. When i try to reactivate windows 7, it comes up with an error. The other technical difficulty is that the old power button from my last desktop does not work with my new motherboard. If anyone can help me with this i would greatly appreciate it.

What is the error message you are getting? I have had this problem with mainboards over the years and have always been able to use phone activation to get it resolved. Some times though the automated process and some times a live person. I have told them I had to replace the mainboard and they have always given me a re-activation code.
