I want to buy a new sound card. I can have the SB audigy2 or the Hercules Fortissimo III 7.1. Both of them should play good, but what matter to me is sound recording quality with my Radeon AIW 8500dv. Is the Hercules has good recording (no hiss, crackling, noise,...) in order to get very good quality capture? Or should I go with the Audigy2.
Will be use with a nforce2 board, if that help.

Both are okay, but you'll get some noise in either case. I'd go Guillemot just because I'm a fan of their products. Just make sure you use the external connector, not the internal AUX connectors. Less noise that way. And keep the cable away from the monitor and power cables.
