does anyone have a link for a free audio calibration .wav files
download (test tones, sweeps etc.) ? i remember awhile ago either on
this or another rec forum someone posted a link and i downloaded the
audio tracks (all 59 of them) but i can't find the text file to go with
it so the audio isn't much use.. thanks

I don't know about a site for ready-made test tones (surely someone
them up though - it's the Internet) but you can download a really neat
generator from http://www.vb-audio.com

Most DAW programs have a tone-generator function built in that allows
you to save a digitally generated test tone as a WAV file. Audacity is
a free program that does it. http://audacity.sourceforge.net

Even better, Right Mark Audio Analyzer will do it all for you....swept
sines, white/pink/gauss noise, all types a weird BS

Here's another:

These tones are for low frequencies only, and they're in 1 Hz increments
which is really needed.
