This may sound stupid, but I bought 1 GB of corsair twinx PC3200 C2, and when I turn on the pc it says that the memory is running in "single channel:, how do I change it to "dual Channel" for better performance? . BTW, my MB is an Asus p4p800 de;uxe, and i checked the bios for something related to dual channel, but i cant find it :S .

You have to have the memory mounted in specific slots to enable dual channel mode, try moving the second DIMM to the next slot over and see if it works, or look for more information in the manual.

you dont need to put them in the same couloured slots to get Dual Channel, you need to put one stick in slot one and the other in slot 3. switch it on and see!

Thanks to everyone, It worked when I used the 1st and 3rd slot, the 2 were blue colored. BTW, how do I check at what frequency is the ram working? . Is there any software that does this ? .
Edited by Kageboshi on 08/30/03 08:25 PM.
