Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)

I keep getting this message when trying to start a cd rom or dvd disk...any ideas what I can do to fix this?

my computer uses Matshita DVD-RAM UJ890AS ATA Device...I think this is part of problem...I have a Gateway NV53A computer...please advise.

uninstall the driver for it then run cclearer and use the reg cleaner. just select fix all.
reboot the machine and the driver should then auto install if you have an active net connection.
