I'm looking into getting a laptop. It will be used for music producing so processor speed is critical. My minimum specs would be:

15" Widescreen (highest resolution as possible)
Core 2 duo ~
100Gb 7200rpm
2Gb Ram

And i am also wanting to add an Audigy, X-fi(when its released) for music making, or various other suitable (proffesional) sound card.

And i am looking for around £1000, preferabbly the cheaper the better. I have had a look around, but i just cand find a decent deal, and more notebooks seem to plain and ugly, preferably looking for something with a bit of class.

Anyone have any idea's? similar specs etc..

I'm in the US. Could you give me a few online U.K. retailers that I could look at and make recommendations from? Also, have you tried looking at HP and Dell?
