Msn passport problem XP

I just reinstalled windows
When i try and use Msn messenger for my mail it's telling me to put my password in all the time???
It's unresponsive also when i click on the sign in icon??

I got the updates and stuff but it's acting like theres a 1000 magnets stuck to my machine

by the way ,does having my pc beside a 32" tv have any effect on the pc?

This is not worth the tablet it's written on
