I am having a lot of troulble with CRC errors (it could be problems with my Lite-on DVD reading it or some invisible scratch on the cd) on my Baldurs Gate 2 cd1, I've tried everything I could find on BG2 forums and Interplay and Bioware's faq's (flash my dvd's rom chip, disable dma...). The only thing left is to disable cd read-ahead. But I'm using win2k pro and dont remember how to do this. I've looked just about everywhere but I know I'm missing somewhere. If anyone either knows of some other fix for this problem or can tell where I can disable cd read-ahead caching, I'd appreciate it.
