i am looking for a laptop for college. i am going to be doing a little gaming but mostly CAD work. i was looking into voodoo because they are good for gaming and have the speed to run programs like CAD. if someone could tell me where i could buy one or if this is even a good choice that would be great.

You can just buy right off the website. What specific model are you looking at? Voodoo can be a little pricey for what they offer.

i am looking at the envy w:151 notebook. would that be good for running CAD programs?

It's not bad, but like I said it's overpriced. Go to killernotebooks.com and configure the Wakizachi notebook. Same basic thing for around half the price. The W151 is around 4000 dollars and you could build one hell of a laptop for that much money. If you want to go all out configure an Executioner, it will still be below that 4000 mark and outperform it by a wide margin.
