Can someone PLEASE help! I am looking for a 15.4" notebook with a decent graphics card. Preferably an X1600 or nvidia 7600. I was looking at the HP DV6000t but it only comes with a 7400. Any advice will be appreciated. My budget is rather small hence the difficulty. max $1300. Thanks

This Asus looks good:F3JP
Core2 T7200, 1 gig of RAM, 120gb HDD, ATi X1700. For about 1300. The only thing I would recommend with this is you add another gig or RAM.

do you perhaps know of anything similar just to compare something from another brand? thanks

The one I showed you and this Sony are about the best you are going to do for under 1300. SONY VAIO BX Series VGN-BX660P23

This one has a weaker processor and a slightly slower GPU. I alos don't like Sony so I don't recommend them. Asus makes a good unit that performs well and they seem to get good reviews.

go look at this one,

don't be scared off by the 17" size, once you've handled it, you'll be glad you didn't settle for 15.

do some net research on whether the proc can be upgraded to a 7200.
if so grab some ram, a second harddrive and you've got a pretty serious lappie for peanuts.
