Hi,is there a midi sequencer or something that can hold a lot more than
200,000 notes?I'd like to run my keyboard from it with all my sequences
loaded,200,000 note capacity is not enough,I see a midi buddy around with
1,000,000 notes but I think I need at least five times that :-)

Bang for the buxx....

Roland MC80.
Expandable with the VE-GSPro Voice Expansion Board.

Optional internal 2.5-inch IDE hard drive or internal Zip drive.

http://www.gearpreview.com/music/seq/mc80.html

One of my favorites.

Ease of Use: 8
We use the MC80 for live performances. The chain play function is great. We
sequence on a PC. Very slow to load songs, even with the internal hard
drive:

Just what I'm trying to get out of..too much time to load songs

Any non-macintosh laptop with a parallel port will do, combined with a
MIDI flyer from MOTU. The laptop can be as old as you want, as long as
it works and runs at least windows 3.1, and runs the sequencing software
you want. Try to get ahold of Cakewalk 4.

Hmmm, would a toshiba satellite lappy with sonar p4 do? :-).my earliest
cakewalk is 6.0
But I am a bit leery about using a laptop, would hate for it to crash on
me,at a critical time..yes anything with anything can go bad,but would
rather be streaming from hardware than a computer,if you know what I mean

Yeah, I agree completely. But 5 million notes? Don't know. Maybe you
could check the lastest Roland and Yamaha units. If you don't mind
swapping CF cards during a gig, you shouldn't have any problems finding
a new sequencer.

I suggested an old laptop because a)they were better built, in terms of
physical durability and b)you can get them cheaply and could likely have
two, so if one is damaged on the road you have a backup.

Run each sequence once, at home, into a minidisk recorder. Play that
on the gig, leaving your keyboard free to add live content.
