Appreciate all the help from everybody so far. Ok, looking at a mobo, the DFI Lanparty ultra, it says it supports pc-3200, 400 Mhz ram. Would buying anything over pc-3200 or 400 mhz be a waste? For instance a previous poster directed me to some geil pc-3700 466 mhz, but that was for a different mobo. So basicly would that geil ram be a waste on the DFI mobo?
If the pc-3200 400 mhz is the best for the DFI board, any recommendations for that? I was looking at (2x) corsair 512mb xms for one gig total...

the higher faster ram is for overclockers and maybe future faster fsb and memory bus. If you plan on overclocking then get the fastest ram in your price range. If you dont plan on overclocking then get the cheapest ram for your board, you probably wont notice the performance diff. anyway.

good luck

I know Geil works on it. That is about as cheap as you can get for a good set of modules.

I know All <A HREF="http://www.aacdirect.com/customkititems.asp?CartId=12228356GGY-EVEREST-OL41&ic=BKOPSAMD" target="_new">American Computers www.aacdirect.com</A> sells a system called the Black Ops with Geil in it.

There are a lot of other choices but I know that it works on that board.
